  • 6 cups stale bread (cubed)
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer half of the cubed stale bread in the dish, followed by sliced bananas. Top with the remaining bread.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and melted butter. Pour over the bread and banana layers.
  4. Allow the mixture to soak for 15 minutes.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and set in the middle.
