  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (toasted)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 34 tbsp milk or cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk and sugar in a bowl. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk flour and salt. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and foamy yeast mixture. Mix until combined.
  3. Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mix, chocolate chips, and pecans.
  6. Roll dough tightly from one side into a log; slice into 12 equal pieces.
  7. Place rolls cut-side up in greased pans; cover and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating oven to 350°F.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Whisk together glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls.
