  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Halloween sprinkles (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  3. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; stir until just combined. Fold in half of the chocolate chips.
  4. In another bowl, melt remaining butter and mix with granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract; sift in flour and cocoa powder—mix until combined.
  5. Spread half of the cookie dough in the prepared pan. Pour brownie batter on top, then dollop remaining cookie dough across the surface. Swirl gently with a knife.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until edges are set but center is slightly soft. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
