  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice (about 1 orange)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lime juice, orange juice, minced garlic, cilantro, olive oil, cumin, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each piece is well-coated, seal or cover tightly, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is ideal).
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F / 200°C).
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade (discard leftover marinade) and place on the grill at a slight angle.
  5. Grill for about 6-7 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
