  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for tenderness.
  3. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create the rub.
  4. Generously coat the ribs with the rub mixture.
  5. Drizzle olive oil over the ribs and wrap them tightly in aluminum foil.
  6. Place wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  7. Unwrap the ribs, brush generously with barbecue sauce, and return them to the oven uncovered for an additional 30 minutes.
