  • 34 lbs brisket
  • 1 cup beef broth (low-sodium)
  • 2 medium onions (sliced)
  • 6 cloves garlic (smashed)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions thinly and smash the garlic cloves.
  2. Rub brisket generously with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and brown sugar.
  3. (Optional) Sear brisket in a skillet over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side.
  4. Layer sliced onions in the slow cooker, add smashed garlic cloves, and pour in beef broth.
  5. Place seasoned brisket on top of the onion-garlic layer. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain and serving with cooking liquid.
